MAN UTD READY £100M GRIEZMANN BID

Manchester United are willing to splash £100 million to sign Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann next year, according to the Daily Star.
The France international had been heavily linked with Old Trafford early in the summer transfer window, but his current club’s transfer ban until January ended any hopes of luring him to the Premier League.
However, Jose Mourinho remains hopeful he can persuade Griezmann to join United in 2018, where he could link up with France team-mates Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial in an attack.

The former Liverpool player, who is open to a London move, was reported to have been suggested by the Gunners to be part of any Alexis Sanchez transfer going the other way.
Arsenal fully expects City to return for Alexis in January and negotiations for Sterling could recommence then.

With Kompany injured once again for City, Guardiola believes his Belgium international team-mate can replace him in 2018-19.

MOURINHO TO RENEW MAN UNITED DEAL

The Red Devils have raced to the top of the table with three wins out of three, and talks on a contract extension are reported to be planned for November. 
If Mourinho stays beyond the current campaign he will be United’s longest-serving manager since Sir Alex Ferguson retired: David Moyes lasted just one season at Old Trafford after succeeding his compatriot, while Louis van Gaal spent two years at the club before being replaced by Mourinho in 2016.
