ESPN Releases Statement On Jemele Hill’s Comments About Trump

“She recognizes her actions were inappropriate.”

Jemele Hill, co-host of ESPN’s “SC:6,” called out President Trump in a series of tweets last night for being a white supremacist who surrounds himself with other white supremacists, and the most offensive president of her lifetime.
Her exact tweet was, “Donald Trump is a white supremacist who has largely surrounded himself w/ other white supremacists.” Naturally, as with all things political, Hill’s tweet received plenty of interaction on both ends of the spectrum, including tweets from people who supported her and those who immediately called for her firing.
Hill, who is always active on social media and is never shy to respond to her critics, did just that last night when she was attacked for her comments.
For example:
The height of white privilege is being able to ✌🏾ignore✌🏾his white supremacy, because it’s of no threat to you. Well, it’s a threat to me.
Trump is the most ignorant, offensive president of my lifetime. His rise is a direct result of white supremacy. Period.
He is unqualified and unfit to be president. He is not a leader. And if he were not white, he never would have been elected
Today, ESPN released the following statement regarding Jemele Hill’s tweet about Trump being a white supremacist. The statement reads,
“The comments on Twitter from Jemele Hill regarding the President do not represent the position of ESPN. We have addressed this with Jemele and she recognizes her actions were inappropriate.”
Check out some of the reactions below.
ESPN Statement on Jemele Hill:

It’s inapproapriate to call a racist a racist, and she knows that.

So sick and cowardly.

Utterly amazing how the President can give all the clear signals of being a white supremacist, but Jemele Hill can’t say so out loud.
ESPN, Curt Schilling is fired 4 questioning Transgender Bathrooms but nothing happens 2 Jemele Hill when she calls Trump a WhiteSupremacist?
Boycott ESPN. Jemele Hill can call Trump a “white supremacist” but if a host said Obama was an “Islamic terrorist” they’d be fired.
They just rehired the guy who said Obama was Hitler.Yall gotta stop acting like ESPN is Liberaltopia. So far from it
